Der Word Summit Award Germany (WSA-Germany) ist die nationale Vorauswahl für den internationalen World Summit Award (WSA-Global). Der WSA-Germany führt seit 2003 in Deutschland die Auswahl zur Nominierung durch die Jury des WSA-Germany durch.
Diese Nominierung ist zugleich der Gewinn des WSA-Germany Awards.
Der WSA-Germany / das WSA-Office ist eine ehrenamtliche Initiative von Alexander Felsenberg (XING LinkedIn) und engagierten Unterstützern.

Die World Summit Awards (WSA) wurden 2003 im Rahmen des UN-Weltgipfels zur Informationsgesellschaft (UN WSIS) in Genf initiiert und sind seit dem eine fortlaufende offizielle Aktivität der Vereinten Nationen.
Seit 2003 prämiert dieser einzigartige internationale Wettbewerb jährlich die besten digitalen Lösungen, die helfen die „UN-Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)", d.h. die Nachhaltigkeitsziele der Vereinten Nationen, umzusetzen.
Die Themenschwerpunkte der SDGs bilden die Grundlage der acht Kategorien des WSA.
In jedem der 187 UN Mitgliedsländern findet jährlich die nationale Vorauswahl statt. Die Gewinner der nationalen Auswahl werden für den WSA nominiert.
In Deutschland entscheidet die jährlich stattfindende Jury des WSA-Germany über die Nominierung. Mehr über den WSA-Award.
